We thank you Lord for NAME's life, for his(her) love, generosity, strength, kindness and humour. Give him(her) his(her) reward for his many gifts to us. |

For our brother(sister) NAME, that God will reward him(her) with peace and joy for the good he(she) did during his(her) life. |

May nothing of NAME's life be lost, but may he(she) go on living in his(her) children and grandchildren through our love and memories of him(her). |

In baptism, NAME received the light of Christ. Scatter the darkness now and lead him(her) over the waters of death. |

We pray for NAME of SPOUSE and all
his/her family and friends. Strengthen them with your grace and peace as
they place their hope in you. |

We pray for those of us here today that we will all come to know God in our lives so that we too may prepare for the hour of our death. |

We pray for the hospital staff for the loving and tender care that they took of NAME in his(her) final days. May their continued work be forever blessed by God. |

We pray for those who suffer from NAME OF ILLNESS. That God will comfort them and release them from their suffering. |

Comfort us in our sorrow at the death of our brother(sister) NAME. Let our faith be our consolation and eternal life our hope. |
